PlentyofFish Site Offline, Not Available

So it looks like the PlentyofFish.com site is offline as I’ve been attempting to access the page since this morning and either get a “service not available” note or some weird code gibberish display.   Not that the site hasn’t been down before, but this one seems particularly long, at least 10 hours now.

In the past when the site has been down or offline it has been because of DDOS or denial of service attacks, though I think Markus tries to hide this.  For some reason or another, there are people out there that want to take the site down, not that I’m saying it’s hackers or anything but we’ve seen that in the past so you can take it for what it’s worth.

From seeing that weird code show up though, I’d say that it’s probably that the Plenty of Fish site was being updated and someone broke the code somewhere.

That’s about all the information I have for now until further  news is discovered.

So this site isn’t abandoned after all. I modeled my “about me” section after one of your examples and saw a marked uptick in email responses, but in the 6 months I’ve been on the site, I can’t seem to get a girl to meet in person.

They’ll seem very interested and we’ll banter back and forth, but when I ask for a meeting or phone number or even just to chat on gmail, they’ll cut off the interaction. I’m convinced they’re mostly there for an ego boost and run away giggling when things get too real. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Hi Logic,

Nope, I haven’t abandoned the site, just took some time off to work on other projects but will likely start posting on this blog on a more regular basis.

Glad to see you had some success with your “about me” section, though it’s unfortunate that you are getting stuck on the meeting up part. Plentyoffish can be tricky and sometimes it just takes a lot of trial and error testing out different methods.

Logic,

You’re not transitioning fast enough. Create attraction with your emails, develop a tiny bit of comfort by asking the woman a few questions about herself… then ask for her number.

It’s as simple as that.

Going back and forth by email or chatting rarely works because there are other guys contacting her. If another guy creates attraction and then asks for her number, you’re out!

By the way, I’ve tested chatting or IMing multiple times in various ways and it’s proven to be a time suck and dead end every time. Go for the phone number using email.

What’s the average number of emails in an exchange before you ask for a number?

Logic,

I initiate contact by emailing a woman until she responds. If she doesn’t respond to the first email, I will email her two more times.

After she responds, I ask her a few questions to establish a little bit of comfort. After she answers your questions she’ll likely have a few of her own questions (most women do).

It’s at that point I’ll ask for the woman’s number. I’ll answer any questions she had and then ask for her number in the same email.

So I’d say on average I send two to three emails to a woman and ask for her number on the third or fourth email. The difference in number is if the woman responds to my first email or not.

This speeds things up considerably because you’ll know instantly when women aren’t really interested or just want to play games. When you realize that’s the kind of woman you’re dealing with, cut her off immediately; don’t send her anymore emails.

I go into specifics on my blog. You can check it out by clicking on my name above.

Later,
Brandon
